Summer Batik Card
Made this little summery card today for 4 challenges. Firstly the Compendium of Curiosities challenge 11, secondly Stampin for the Weekend which is a theme of anything goes thirdly Mojo Monday challenge 153 which is a totally fab sketch and just up my street and lastly Simon Says Stamp and Show which is a theme of anything Tim. The technique used for the batik is from Tim's book The Compendium of Curiosities and I used tumbled glass and stormy sky distress ink, blue ribbon from stash and some shell beads. Stamp is a Judikins cube called shell cube 1.

Printers Tray
Had a great day yesterday at Art from the Heart, although Dyan was too ill to teach the class the lovely Katie took over and lead us through the steps. Had a good day but couldn't concentrate very well so I didn't get anywhere near finishing it but I managed to finish it today. Background was made with Dyan's paint and altered originals spray inks. Images are Dyan's new stamps which will be in shops September hopefully, I want all 4 sets!!!! Coloured the images with Pro-Markers today and assembled. I had the brainstorm of adding magnets to the back so I can change the pictures and make a Christmas set, it was suggested in class to use masking tape to stick them in so you could change the pictures.

WOYWW
Wednesday again!! Its been a horrid week, see previous post but things got a bit better today. Firstly I won!!!! the whole set of brand spanking new Aqua markers from Passion for Pro-Markers!!!!!! Holy rusted metal batman!!!!! I ordered some items from a new art supply shop I found yesterday and it apparently arrived today at 7:20am!!!! Hello yeah right I am awake at that time in a morning so I haven't got the goodies but tomorrow I will!! I have re-arranged delivery for after 9am, should have put that on the special instructions at checkout me thinks. Also on my desk is some of my new addiction Washi tape that arrived this morning in the normal post and I have allready whipped it out and added it to the pages of a circle journal I am taking part in, beady eyes will also see I have cleaned up some and got rid of the awful handmade purple storage box and have a gardeners trugg now that I made at Art from the Heart in a class - it has tags to go with it but they get in the way and I was damaging them so they are not in it for now. Speaking of Art from the Heart Dyan is real ill at the moment so pop along to her blog and leave your best wishes if you feel like it, I am sure it will make her feel happier.
We have finished the final arrangements for Grandad this morning and have the funeral date and wake all set, just need to work out the numbers for the buffet he requested, so far we are at over 75 attendee's, cant say that many people would be at my funeral!! I don't know that many people!!

WOYWW 11th August
Nothing on my desk this week apart from a tag I am gessoing and the gesso isn't doing a good job, think it may have gone off if that's possible, so this is what is next to me, 2 sets of drawers stacked on top of each other filled to bursting and loads of stacking boxes as well as crafting books including a signed by the man himself Distressables and a signed by the lady herself collage discovery workshop book. Click the link in my sidebar and see if theirs anything you might want from my unused stash, as you can see I need to make some space for all the new goodies from CHA...... If anyone wants the job lot of PMC stuff I am happy to do a deal as I never really got into it.

The final image is a combination of everything I have learned from Dina, I wont go into detail's you will have to take the class for yourselves. All I can say is it is well worth it!!!

Macabre Monday 50: Foul Flutterings
This weeks Macabre Monday challenge is ''Foul Fluttering's'' for this challenge I decided to make a gothic arch from mount board, not the easiest thing to cut but it kept me busy. The quote was punched out with one of them dymo machines and seems to be quite impossible to photo (if you enlarge it you can see it better), its in a script text and says '' Even angels need angels some times''. Background is painted black then has green and blue patina eco green paint smooshed on with the good old priceless tool my finger, then painted with blonde moments crackle medium then painted black again over the top, love the last part as it cracks instantly its so cool. Image is random angel statue from on-line.

WOYWW
Well everyone's doing the WOYWW so I thought I would join in. Today we have my Molskine with the start of a new page and lots and lots of mess all around, yes I only have a small working space but the keyboard is wireless and gets thrown behind me to make quite alot of space really. Also beady eyes will spy my new find, Washi Tape, or Japanese masking tape or what is widely known as Tim Holtz tissue tape. I ordered it yesterday and I was very shocked when it arrived today!! A lovely lady called Amanda, her selling site is a blog tho so its pretty weird, just scroll down and go to older posts to find it if you want some, half the price of rangers stuff and it comes in a gazillion patterns too!! We also have the staple coffee, pop tarts were already eaten!! glass bead gel, eco green die cut shapes pack and alot of signs that I really should just spend an hour cleaning it up!
Enjoy your day
New Page in my Molskine
Finished this page last night in my Molskine, The words read: ''Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days you are the statue''. Sprayed background with fuchsia ink from Dyan images random from the web and glass bead gel in the top and bottom corners.
