Today I have a video tutorial showing you how I created this little beauty below.... I am very happy with how this came out but not so impressed that my recording corrupted halfway though! Oh what fun I have had trying to salvage this video! I hope you enjoy my project though even though I had such issues with it.

NaNoJouMo Day 4

NaNoJouMo Day 3

NaNoJouMo Day 3 is a quote on a tag offset on a background, the quote is ''i'm really not''. I really enjoyed making this piece and used up scraps of papers from my scrap box and my favourite radiant neon gel, ohh I love the way it looks with a brayer! I hope you enojy too!

NaNoJouMo Day 2

NaNoJouMo Day 2 is a picture challenge, I really had fun creating this piece, I am also using up old stacks of paper that lets be fair aren't very nice, not even sure why I bought them to be honest! I dont know what happened to the video, one moment it was recording fine, then I looked up when I went to clean my paint water and brush's and it had stopped! But all you are missing is some basic blending of black into white to make grey.

Addicted to CAS challenge

It's my other half's birthday this week and I decided I wanted to use my new stamp set from Mamma Elephant with the cute little super hero kitty on it called tiny hero's. I decided to colour them in with my new Chameleon marker pens, I am a complete novice at these pens but I think I am getting the hang of them, the images aren't my usual colouring standard but I see the potential of these pens! I hope you enjoy!

I am entering this into the animal themed challenge for Addicted to CAS: this is a new challenge blog to me and I think its pretty cool!

A Challenge from Sarah

The lovely Sarah of Youtube: 3dogsand2kids and The Handmade Card Blog and I have been having a bit of a crafting mojoless slump lately, it is taking heaven and earth to get either of us motivated or inspired, so when we were on skype one night I said lets get our mojo motivated and I challenge you to do the Mojo Monday challenge, and film it and enter it before it ends. Sarah said fine so long as you do it too! So naturally being the competitive person I am could not say no so I accepted!

After a couple of days milling about what to do I decided on my brand spanking new WPlus9 stamp of the cute little birdie and I wanted to add some resin paper in I had made a while ago actually and use up some of the scraps of paper that are in my now rather large scraps of paper box, its literally busting open! I am really not sure who made the papers, maybe 7gypsies, they were loose in my box without a covering sheet or packaging.

I stamped the image in versafine, coloured with Brusho's and inked everything with Memento Luxe peanut brittle ink. I used a reference image of a Coal Tit found randomly on a google image search, THIS is the particular one I used.

I am so pleased with how this turned out and it has really sparked my imagination, I think my mojo is returning! I haven't used patterned paper for the longest time, I think I am regaining my love for it.

Its new challenge day for IndigoBlu

Its new challenge day over on the IndigoBlu Challenge blog! I love new challenge day and I particularly love this challenge as it is..... Indian Summer. I love the colour ways of an Indian Summer, all vibrant browns and rich oranges.

 I used the gorgous Butterfly collector stamp plate and Spiced Marmalade, Dreid Marigold and Wild Honey Distress ink.

I smooshed all three colours onto some lovely IndigoBlu card stock, spritzed with some water to make a splatter pattern and then stamped the large butterfly all over in Vintage Sepia Versafine ink. I stamped the dotty stamp all around the edge for a lovely background. I was going to add in a sentiment but I preferred the card as it is and without a sentiment.

Tag you're it challenge for IndigoBlu

Hi everyone, Have you seen the new challenge over on the IndigoBlu challenge blog?

Is'nt it fabulous! I really loved doing this challenge as I love doing tags but I rarely get chance to these days, just like journaling but hey ho, being busy is good too!

This tag is actually quite easily complicated, if that makes sense. It looks really hard but in fact its a 5min tag and most of that is taken up by drying paint!.

New Challenge over at IndigoBlu

Hi everyone, its challenge day over at IndigoBlu today, yayyyy! The challenge is Spring Blossom's and here is my Design Team inspiration piece.

I love this card, its on of my most favourite ones I have ever done! I stamped the decorative border at the bottom of the Boadicea plate in black, let it dry then over stamped in flitterglu then gilded with the Yorkshire Dales Mega Flake. I erased sections of the flake with the fantastic Whizzy eraser, mainly on the words and leaves, I just really wanted the trellis lines to be flakes.

I stamped the image again and cut out all the flowers and leaves, colouring with distress ink and stuck them on with glue gel to 3d it. On the left side of the image are some pretty leaves so only inking them up I stamped all around the edge. I flaked the edge also.

IndigoBlu Challenge 12

Hi everyone, it's the 21st so you know what that means..... Its new challenge day over at IndigoBlu!

This months challenge is From the heart. For my inspiration piece I made a page in my positivity journal. I am really enjoying working in this little journal so apologies if you are feeling alittle spammed by it!

I created the background using the script background stamp, gee-sso good and neo colour 2 crayons. The border is the edge of the large Love is heart stamp stamped with vintage sepia versafine ink. The heart in the top corner is the smaller version of the stamp and stamped with the same ink.

The Love Deeply was gilded with Chariots of fire mega flake and is the from the stamp plate truly madly deeply. As usual I doodled around the edge in my usual style with a poster paint marker pen.

New Challenge at IndigoBlu

It must be the 21st, its challenge time over at IndigoBlu! This months challenge is Things with Wings, here is my design team inspirational piece for the challenge.

I decided to alter a deep edged frame from ikea. I was going to fill it full of butterfly's around the edges but after a few placements I decided it looks funny and decided to keep it simple and elegant instead.

IndigoBlu Challenge 7

Hi everyone, today is IndigoBlu Challenge day and this months challenge is shabby chic. Quite a difficult one without using yards of lace and pre made paper flowers. I decided to decorate a frame that Kay had given me aaagggeeesss ago as a little present for myself. I had not done anything with it yet so decided to use it for the challenge and I will be keeping it because I love it too!.

First I removed the heart section as it was paper and acetate then painted the whole thing with the IndigoBlu Gee-so-good gesso. Once dry I gave it a coat of Frosty Sky IndigoBlu paint. Once that was dry I dry brushed the edges in random place's with the Pantry White IndigoBlu paint. Also in the Pantry White I randomly stamped the script stamp.

I edged the whole piece with the  Iced Spruce Distress Ink and then stamped the vintage flourish IndogBlu stamp and gilded with Sheffield Steel mega Flake. The words are from the Live Laugh love stamp plate and stamped with Vintage Sepia Versafine Ink.

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge 97

Wow I am on a roll! entering loads of fabulous clean and simple challenges this weekend. I love the look of clean and simple cards and the fact that they can be deceptively difficult to get the right look, one too many embellies and its no longer clean or simple. I am entering this card into the CAS-ual Fridays challenge 97.

First i took a pre made Kraft card base from papermania, gilded in green metal flake the background, then added the flower stamped and fussy cut out twice. I decided to add in some leaves, stamped and fussy cut again as the flower looked abit sparse on its own. It is all stuck together with 3d glue so you get the pretty shadow in the sunlight. Stamps and gilding flake all from IndigoBlu.

CASE Challenge 135

Really loving this weeks CASE challenge, especially the one created by Jean Martin. Here is my effort! It looks like it is going to snow so my white is not very white on my photography.

First I folded a piece of black card in half, masked off a 5mm border around the edge and stamped and gilded the flourish. Next I cut the white card to size and stamped and masked the flower and leaves, fussy cutting around them. I added the thank you sentiment and then put it all together with 2mm foam squares. The flower and leaves are stamped using victorian velvet and crushed olive distress ink. The stamp and gilding flake are both from IndigoBlu.
