Poppy Design Team Card

My most recent Design Team projects for IndigoBlu were on the telly on Create and Craft on Sunday, it was such a fab show. My favourite card example that I created is this one

For the card I used the brand spanking new Poppy stamp coloured with letraset Aqua Markers. For the journalling I used a super fine Uni pen in size 0.05. They are water and fade proof and perfect for journalling, as you might guess I like to write on everything to give it that personal touch! The sewing is deliberately done wiggly, this takes out the pressure of ruining your hard work on the focal image as it is done last.

The journalling around the image is the famous poem by John McCrae, In Flanders Fields and reads

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
