MIA for a week

Hi everyone, I will be missing for a week or so due to my other half having surgery. Normal services will resume next week and my ETSY shop will be stocked next week also so long as all goes well with the operation

WOYWW

Morning all, its that time of the week again, WOYWW, On my desk today is a new technique to me that I have been playing with. I have this morning cut out card to do it on a mirror as a gift for my sister's birthday.

Hopefully I will have it finished today, it will have more than just the background done on it obviously, but what I am not totally sure yet

Rubber Stamp Spring Clean E-Bay Time

Its time for a spring clean! So far I have put up on E-BAY some really hard to come by Whiff of Joy stamps including really rare shop only stamps that you couldn't order on-line. Loads of Polka Doodles stamps from 2011, Stampotique, Octopode and lots more brands too. And I am still listing so go over and take a look. I have loads more to come but I will be only listing tonight so once Monday comes everything in this batch will be up for your viewing. All listings are UK only at this point but if you want something and are international message me to find out postage costs to your country. Due to being ripped off several times by people claiming they never received the goods that they clearly did I will only post now with Tracking and a signature.

Fairy Gift Box

Well its been an awful day weather wise here, pouring with rain and not very warm at all. I have been a busy bee and completed a wooden gift box as a birthday present for my Aunty whose birthday it is next week. I thought I was on time for a change and not doing a last minute rush then I found out she is gone on holiday and wanted her gifts 2 days ago so she could take them with her..... ahh well! she will get it late again LOL

First I painted the box with gesso very lightly so the wood texture is not lost, then I found a pretty piece of paper and fitted it to all side, distressing the edges.

I inked around the distressed edges with crushed olive distress ink. Added a rub-on I found in the bottom of a drawer that I think I have had about 5 years and some pretty flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

It looks somewhat neon in the photos but it really isnt in person its very muted and pretty. I have decided to enter this box into the Simon Says Stamp challenge which is anything goes.
