WOYWW 3rd November 2010

Its Wednesday again!!! For people who have asked here is an update on the poor dog Freddie. So on my desk today, some wooden hearts to undercoat later and some dinner menus from my Great Granddad's 80th birthday dinner in 1981. Their is a funny tale behind it and why I am keeping the menus. They will go with the funny tale in my journal. Suppose I best tell you the tale......... I was 3 at the time and being a child in them days was ignored apart from dinner niceties like cutting my food. I didn't like to be ignored so I shouted at the top of my voice ''Our cats got fleas'' and made everyone look, Mum slid under the table in embarrassment.......

Great to hear Freddie is doing so well, glad he's found a happy home. Love the story, question is, what would you yell out these days if people were ignoring you????!

ha ha I once told the whole of my mums 'knitting circle' ladies that I had had the same sheets on my bed for a year...

in fact mum used two sets of bedding which were exactly the same, so as far as I knew they were the same ones and never changed.

She died of embarrassment as well lol

ROFL - I think we all have similar stories - like the time I brought an ant in from the garden and put it on Mum's nice clean white table cloth; dinner guests were just about to arrive! Fab story and a great idea to journal it!

MY daughter, when nearly 3, has said one better I think, very loudly in a supermarket while picking up a packet of.. tampons... "Mummy!!! Do you want these for....."
I won't go on... I quickly said "Not this time, but do you think you could find the bread?"
I don't think I've seen so many people look round open mouthed and just as many snigger. Great tale and a very thoughtful desk, I never throw anything out 'just in case' I might want it to make something with it, one day. Love the hearts. Happy belated WOYWW!
